ISABELLA BAILEY

“Once you paint it’s part of you. It feeds the soul.”
Isabella has had a love of painting for over 30 years and
she paints most weeks and enjoys spending time with fellow
artists in groups and at home.
Isabella describes watercolour as a romantic medium and
loves how it develops its own magic. Her mediums not only
include watercolour, but also pen and ink and pastel.
She enjoys painting seascapes, townscapes and
landscapes and flowers in bright colours. Her paintings
have been sold overseas as well as in Australia.
Isabella was taught by John Crawley for 4 years and
attended many workshops with top artists David Taylor,
Joseph Zbukvic, Greg Allen and many more. All have
helped with her love of art and improving her skills. Isabella
continues to attend workshops and has run workshops for
the Ballarat Society of Artists, where she has been a
member for 25 years.
