Rudi began creating art in 2015, sketching with pencils and charcoal. He began with still life before moving on to portraits, scenery and animals.
His preferred medium is acrylic.
Initially self taught, he then learnt from a number of workshops and groups in Ballarat and Port Fairy.
His lengthy working life was spent in the print news media (Ballarat, Melbourne and Hobart).
Rudi has exhibited work in the Ballarat Society of Artists’ shows at the Trades Hall, Ballarat, Robert Clarke Centre in the Botanical Gardens and Smeaton Mill as well as in the Backspace Gallery and Mortlake annual exhibition.
