Sharon Gibbs
Growing up as a child and living much of her early life in the outback regions of Australia, encouraged Sharon to develop a love of nature, which led to a desire to express this through art.
As a self-taught artist, Sharon found her first inspiration from a paint set given to her by her father and she was the child who preferred to illustrate rather than write essays!
Sharon likes a challenge and consequently tries her hand at different styles of painting. She works in oils, acrylics and recently in watercolour and enjoys the flexibility of various mediums. Her love of photography provides imagery for many of her works.
Being a member of the Ballarat Society of Artists Inc. has been rewarding and Sharon has enjoyed attending the workshops and is excited to see fellow artists express and create their own art.
